Stuck

Help! Get me outta here!

Another gift from Cousins Anna and Maddie. I'm not sure what it's called, but Veronica loves it (especially all the noise it makes).

Veronica shows herself to be a discriminating viewer by reading the product information prior to watching. She really enjoys watching her Baby Einstein DVDs.

Magic Pink Hat

Here we see Veronica modelling her magic pink hat. Papa bought this long before she was born, and she's finally grown into it.

And her magic pink hat gives her the power of flight!

Little Drummer Girl

When Papa plays his guitar, Veronica accompanies him on the "cookie tin drum".

Ninang Cassondra came to visit recently, and brought great gifts. We were really excited to see the "original" Grimm's Fairy Tales (none of that phony "Happily Ever After" stuff, these put the "grim" in "Grimm", just as they were first put on paper. Ninang also picked and identified these cool wild flowers on our "back 40" on our walk down to the river. We're looking forward to seeing her and Ninong Mike again soon.

Papa's Little Piggy

Veronica in her "baby pig" costume, celebrating Halloween a little early.

Time For a Get-Together!

Veronica got all dressed up for the Atwell Family Picnic. She was ready for the arctic, so she handled St. Joseph, Tennessee quite well.

Lolo James, and his grand-daughters (Maddie and Anna) strike a pretty pose.

Lola Nancy, Tita Melanie, and Veronica reluctantly let Papa take ANOTHER photo.

Cousin Victoria looks innocent, as she prepares to steal Uncle Dan's hotdogs.

Let There Be Fire!

Aunt Madam (Papa's sister, Carol), Granny, and Lola Mary grilled up the food. Poor 'lil Rani didn't get any, though. Poor thing had to eat baby food.

Lola Mary gave Rani some new toys, and she had a lot of fun.

She had a great time, and really enjoyed seeing so many relatives at once.

Cousin Maddie, Tita Melanie's eldest, shows her teeth to Veronica.

Playmates

Rani will grow up playing with Cousin Anna, Tita Melanie's (aka Smelly Melly) youngest daughter. We'll get Cousin Maddie to babysit.

Tito Jason (Papa's cousin) also had a great time with Rani. We're looking forward to visiting with him again soon.

Veronica got to hang out with Tita Jessica (aka Pancho), too.

Here's Rani with Lola Mary, Granny's sister.

As you can see, Veronica loves being with her Grandpa. I think he likes her, too. However....

...he's afraid she just loves him for his glasses.

Warm Winter Pink Suit

Veronica seems very pleased with the fashion opportunities that the cooler weather provides.

Jump, Rani, Jump!

Veronica is enjoying the "Johnny Jumper" that some of Papa's friends from work gave her.

Sing Me Another Song, Papa!

Veronica does her best to look interested while Papa gives her her daily concert. Veronica seems to actually enjoy this, so we are afraid that she may have some hearing problems.

Veronica supervises while Pat the Bunny takes a nap.

Veronica continues to look forward to her favorite time....BATH TIME!

Fang Sighting!

Our initial attempts to gain photographic evidence of the newly emerged Veronica fang met with little success, and no small amount of displeasure from the producer of said fang.

Finally, we see the first tooth. As of this writing, she has her second lower fang, and is working on the first in a series uppers.

She's Pretty in Pink, and uh....Goofy in Green

We really like Veronica's goofy-green dress, and she seems to like it, too.

Her Highness in Her High-Chair

Veronica immediately took a liking to her new high-chair, which was a gift from Papa's friends, the radiation therapists at the Vanderbilt Center for Radiation Oncology. Thank you, guys!

Drunken Baby Yoga

Veronica demonstrates the One-Arm and Two-Arm Variants of the Drunken Baby Yoga posture called 'Bouncy Chair Sprawl'

More Stinkin' Shots!

Papa's two months late posting these, but Rani recently had her 6-month shots, and you can see that cold steel can't make my baby cry.

Ride Rani, Ride!

Papa has learned his place, and in addition to providing for and protecting Veronica, he also makes a pretty decent horsey.

Sittin' Tall!

Since we moved into the new house, Veronica Grace has decided that sitting up allows her to better supervise her parents' work. Here she is sitting on a quilt that was hand-made by her great-grandmother, who is also her namesake. Granny Grace would be proud.
